Tejashwi Yadav's Enthusiasm for Bihar's Voter Participation

Tejashwi Yadav, a leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the chief ministerial candidate for the Grand Alliance, expressed his delight on Tuesday regarding the impressive voter turnout in the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections. In a post shared on X, Yadav remarked that he was filled with joy as reports of substantial voting poured in from all corners. He noted that elderly citizens, women, youth, traders, and farmers from every caste and class were enthusiastically participating in this grand democratic event. He urged that this momentum should not wane and that the steps taken should continue.

Encouraging voters to maintain this enthusiasm, he appealed to every citizen of Bihar to step out and cast their votes. He stated, "I humbly request all the people of Bihar to go to the polling stations and ensure they vote; the blue ink on your finger will help shape a bright future for you." Highlighting the significance of each vote, Yadav reminded voters that their choices would determine Bihar's future. He emphasized, "The button you press will dictate your power, security, prosperity, peace, and future for the next five years. Therefore, step out of your homes and vote for the right government for Bihar. Jai Hind, Jai Bihar."

Meanwhile, according to the Election Commission's data, as of 3 PM on Tuesday, the voter turnout in the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections reached 60.40 percent. Kishanganj district recorded the highest turnout at 66.10 percent, followed by Purnia at 64.22 percent, Katihar at 63.80 percent, Jamui at 63.33 percent, and Banka at 63.03 percent. The ECI's voter turnout app reported that Nawada had a turnout of 53.17 percent by 3 PM. Other districts such as Araria, Arwal, Aurangabad, Bhagalpur, Jehanabad, Kaimur (Bhabhua), West Champaran, and Gaya also reported significant participation rates.

In East Champaran, the turnout was 61.92 percent, while Rohtas recorded 55.92 percent, Shivhar 61.85 percent, Sitamarhi 58.32 percent, and Supaul 62.06 percent. Key constituencies saw varied turnout rates, with Supaul at 61.16 percent, Sasaram at 55.87 percent, Mohania at 63.70 percent, Kutumba at 59.52 percent, Gaya Town at 52.30 percent, Chainpur at 62.72 percent, Dhamdaha at 64.66 percent, Harsidhi at 60.64 percent, and Jhajharpur at 51.89 percent.
